Nick’s Story

Nick’s career didn’t start in an office, he began on the ground, working in construction as a scaffolder for over seven years. During that time, he contributed to high-rise developments across Southeast Queensland, gaining firsthand experience in how projects come to life.

In 2016, Nick made a big shift, swapping the coastal lifestyle of the Sunshine Coast for the wide-open plains of Dubbo. There, he spent five years working for Dubbo Regional Council, learning the ins and outs of local government planning and approvals. This experience gave him a deep understanding of Council processes and the common roadblocks people face when trying to get projects off the ground.

Wanting to work more closely with clients and provide a more hands-on approach, Nick moved into private consulting, helping property owners navigate the complexities of the planning system. He saw an opportunity to make the process simpler, clearer, and less frustrating for people who felt overwhelmed by regulations and red tape.

At the end of 2023, Nick and his family embarked on a full-time caravan adventure, completing a half-lap of Australia. The experience reinforced his belief in flexibility, problem-solving, and thinking outside the box. Values that now define his approach to town planning.
